We have set out our views on the proposed Planning and Infrastructure Bill 2025, focusing on Part 3: Development and Nature Recovery.
While supportive of the Bill’s aims, we highlight that the proposed Environmental Delivery Plans (EDPs) lack sufficient monitoring and may underestimate environmental harm during construction. We advocate stronger compliance measures and the involvement of independent Environmental Clerks of Works to help developments deliver their agreed environmental outcomes.
